Terms of service
Last updated 20 September 2026
These draft terms cover use of VisAssistant during the pilot. They will be replaced by reviewed terms before general availability.
What VisAssistant is
VisAssistant is software for licensed immigration firms. It collects information and documents from a firm’s applicants over WhatsApp, checks them against published requirements, and prepares a file for the firm to review.
What VisAssistant is not
- It is not a law firm, a regulated immigration adviser, or a licensed consultant.
- It does not give immigration advice or opinions on eligibility. Those come from the firm.
- It does not submit applications to any government. The firm does, through its own channels.
The firm’s responsibilities
- Holding the licence or registration required to charge for immigration assistance in each jurisdiction it serves.
- Reviewing every file before submission. VisAssistant prepares; a person approves.
- Being truthful with applicants about the role of the assistant.
Fees
Pilot fees are set out in the firm’s order form and are charged per completed file unless that form says otherwise.
